Roofing Specialists of San diego
This job was a complete removal of all existing roofing materials. To increase the ventilation, we cut a 1 ½” slit in the plywood to relive the attic air. We then installed Atlas Cross Vent 1 ½” insulation boards with a 1 inch air flow and ½” OSB plywood. Next we installed the cross vent with 4” Atlas deck screws into the rafters. Once all the decking is installed, we then installed 2 layers of 75# fiberglass base felt in ensure a class-A fire rated roof. The final layer is the GAF Energy cap torch down rolled roofing that meets all title 24 codes. This torch down roofing material is very reflective and dramatically reduces the heat transfer into the home making the house much more energy efficient. At the higher sections of the roof we installed T-top vents to let the hot air out of the attic and keep the attic as close to the outside temps as possible.
We worked closely with Eric and his whole crew.
Outstanding team!
We felt that our needs and concerns were carefully listened to and acted upon.
One’s roof is a daunting preoccupation for a homeowner.
Roofing Specialists understood that and took their job responsibility seriously.
We were extremely pleased with the care and quality of the work.
Anything else you would like to add? Please explain: It would help future customers clearly understand, up front, that they will need to get a painter to finish/match the trim after the roof job is completed. This helps a homeowner understand that they will have to budget for this work when pricing out the full completion of the job.
